Javier Garrido Behobide (born March 15, 1985 in Irun ) is a Spanish football player who has been under contract with AEK Larnaka since 2016 in the position of left full-back.

Club career

Real Sociedad

Garrido began playing in all of Real Sociedad's youth teams as a child and then played for the club's second team from 2002 to 2004.

He played his first game for the professional team on October 8, 2003 in the cup game against Real Oviedo , which Real Sociedad won 2-1. His first game in the Primera División he scored on August 29, 2004 in the game against UD Levante . In his three years at Real Sociedad, he made 86 games and scored one goal.

Manchester City

On August 2, 2007, Javier Garrido moved to Manchester City for 2.2 million euros and signed a four-year contract there. Nine days later, on August 11th, he made his first game for City, against West Ham United . He scored his first goal for Manchester City on October 5, 2008 in the 3-2 defeat by Liverpool .

Garrido had a difficult stance in his position as Wayne Bridge was seated on it.

Lazio Rome

On July 31, 2010 it was announced that Garrido was moving to Italian club Lazio , a few days after Aleksandar Kolarov moved from Lazio to the Citizens .

Norwich City

For the 2012/13 season Garrido moved to Norwich City on loan . He was finally signed for the 2013/14 season. In August 2015 Garrido moved to UD Las Palmas . After a season in Las Palmas he moved to AEK Larnaka in Cyprus .

National team career

Garrido played for the Spanish U-19 national team, with whom he won the 2004 U-19 European Championship . A year later he took part with the U-20 team in the 2005 Junior World Cup in the Netherlands.
