Career

Javier Raya became Spanish champion in 2010/11 when his fellow countryman Javier Fernández , who was five days older, was injured in the warm-up phase and had to start weak.

Then Raya made his debut at European Championships in 2011 , which he finished in 19th place. The following year, the Spaniard also made his debut at World Championships thanks to the good preliminary work of his compatriot, who had fought for two starting positions for Spain . There he reached the 24th place. Spain was also entitled to two starting positions at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi , so that Raya could make his debut here as well. He turned 25.
