Jaworiw ( Ukrainian Яворів ; Russian Яворов Jaworow , Polish Jaworów ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Lviv Oblast with about 900 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1659, belongs administratively to the Verkhnye (Ukrainian Верхнє ) district council of the same name in the west of Turka Rajon .
The village is located at an altitude of 742 m in the Bieszczady mountain range in the Carpathian Forest on the bank of the Jaworiwka ( Яворівка ), an 11 km long tributary of the Hnyla , 7 km southwest of the district center of Turka and 155 km southwest of the oblast center of Lviv . To the west of the village is the Ushok Pass , on which the N 13 road runs from Uzhhorod to Lviv. The church of Archangel Michael from 1912 is located in Jaworiw.
