Career

In 1991, Cutler began bodybuilding training at the age of 18. Just a year later he took part in various competitions of the National Physique Committee , the largest amateur bodybuilding association in the USA. 1993 followed with the victory at the NPC Iron Bodies Invitational, the first major success. After Cutler won the men's national championships in 1996, he switched to the professional field. Three years later, Cutler was able to qualify for the first time to take part in the Mr. Olympia , the most prestigious competition in professional bodybuilding, and came in 14th in the final bill. In 2000, he finally won his first professional victory, as Cutler at the Night of Champions all of the competition was relegated to the rear. A respectable eighth place followed for Mr. O. A year later, Cutler surprisingly finished second in this competition behind the outstanding athlete of that time Ronnie Coleman . In the following years Cutler became Coleman's toughest opponent. Between 2002 and 2004 he won the Arnold Classic three times in a row , which is the second most important event in bodybuilding after the Mr. O. In addition, he took second place behind Coleman at the Mr. Olympia in 2003, 2004 and 2005 , before finally defeating Coleman on September 30, 2006, making the most prestigious BB title his own for the first time. In 2007 he was able to repeat his triumph. However, in 2008 he lost the Mr. Olympia title to Dexter Jackson and finished second. In 2009 he "got the title back". In 2010 he successfully defended his title against Phil Heath . He is 3-time Arnold Classic and 4-time Mr. Olympia winner.
