Phil Heath (* 18th December 1979 as Phillip Jerrod Heath in Seattle , Washington ) is a professional bodybuilder from the United States . He is under contract with the international association IFBB and is Mr. Olympia for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He finished second in 2010 after finishing third in 2009 .

Life

Heath grew up in Seattle and studied computer science and business administration at the University of Denver in Colorado . During his studies he played basketball successfully . At the age of 23 he switched to bodybuilding and only three years later he won his first amateur competition, thanks to which he was also able to take part in events for professional bodybuilders.

Heath celebrated his greatest triumph in 2011 when he won the competition for the title of Mr. Olympia, for which he prepared himself in his bulky phase with eight meals a day. These contained a total of approx. 9400 kcal, which consisted of 910 g proteins, 239 g fats and 881 g carbohydrates. In 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 he was able to repeat his success. The documentary Generation Iron by Vlad Yudin shows Heath winning in 2012.

Heath was married to Jennie Heath (née Laxson) from 2007 to 2015.
