Dorian Andrew Mientjez Yates (born April 19, 1962 in Sutton Coldfield , Birmingham , England ) is a British bodybuilder .

biography

Yates started exercising at the age of 21. Later he was one of the few bodybuilders who trained exclusively on the principle of high intensity training .

He won the Mr. Olympia competition six times in a row (1992 to 1997), making him one of the most successful international bodybuilders.

In 1997 he retired from competitive sports due to an injury.

He is married to the Brazilian fitness model Gal Yates and has a son and a daughter. He lives in Marbella .

In 2003, Yates was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness .
