Jazsmin Lewis

Jazsmin Lewis (born March 22, 1976 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Lewis is of mixed European , African American, and West Indian ancestry, which she proudly mentions in numerous statements. She made her debut as an actress alongside Martin Lawrence in an episode of the television series Martin from 1994. In the action film The Hell of San Quentin (1995), she played one of the larger roles alongside Wings Hauser . After numerous guest appearances on television series, she took on a small role alongside Mari Morrow and Amber Smith in the 1997 comedy The Playboy Trap .

Lewis played one of the larger roles in the thriller Automatic (2001), and she also co-produced this film. In the comedy Barbershop (2002), which received numerous awards and nominations, she played one of the bigger roles alongside Ice Cube , Cedric the Entertainer and Sean Patrick Thomas . She took on the lead role in the comedy Traci Townsend (2005), for which she received a prize at the Boston International Film Festival in 2006 . She played other leading roles in the comedies Wifey (2005), Three Can Play That Game (2007) and Divine Intervention (2007).
