Wings Hauser (* 12. December 1947 as Gerald Dwight Hauser in Hollywood , California ) is an American actor , director and screenwriter .

Life & Career

Wings Hauser is the son of Oscar-winning director and producer Dwight Hauser (1911–1969). In 1975 he released an album for RCA called Your Love Keeps Me Off The Streets . For this LP he used the pseudonym Wings Livinryte. He first attracted attention as an actor in 1977 in the role of Greg Foster in the soap opera Shadow of Passion . In 1991 he starred in the short-lived action series Firestorm (Lightning Force) . At the same time, he played recurring roles in over forty-one television series, including Beverly Hills, 90210 , Murder Is Her Hobby , The A-Team, and Roseanne .

In 1983 he wrote the screenplay and produced The Daring Seven with Gene Hackman in the lead role. He also demonstrated his versatility by portraying intense, mostly eccentric characters in feature films such as Night Rats , Death Squad and Tough Men Don't Dance .

His first marriage son, Cole Hauser , also became an actor. Wings Hauser has been married to Cali Hauser for the fourth time since 2000 and has a daughter with her.
