The Jbel Azourki ( Central Atlas Tamazight ⵉⴷⵓⵔⴰⵔ ⵏ ⴰⵣⵓⵔⴽⵉ Idurar n Azurki ) is a 3677  m high mountain in the north of the Jbel M'Goun massif; it belongs to the mountain range of the High Atlas ( Morocco ). The height information varies by up to 30 m depending on the source.

location

The Jbel Azourki is located in the province of Azilal in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region about 80 km (as the crow flies) south of the city of Beni Mellal in the southeast of the Aït Bougoumez valley, about 15 to 25 km northeast of the villages Ibakliwin and Timit . The mountain range of Jbel M'Goun is only about 15 km south and the place Zaouiat Ahansal about 15 km northeast. About 4 km (as the crow flies) south of the summit is the flat surface of the mostly dried up mountain lake Lac d'Izourar .

Ascent

An ascent of the Jbel Azourki is possible as part of a one-day trekking tour from the town of Tabant, which is about 1850 m high and about 25 km (driving distance) to the west . A piste road leads to the nearby village of Aghbalou , where there are simple overnight accommodations ( gîtes ).
