Jean-Bernard Eisinger

Jean-Bernard Eisinger (born September 1, 1938 in Marseille ; † November 3, 2015 ) was a French jazz pianist , film composer and doctor.

Live and act

Eisinger, who was a doctor full-time, founded the jazz-hip trio in 1963 with the bassist (and cardiologist) Roger Luccioni (1933-2008) , which also included Daniel Humair or, in his place, occasionally Ron Jefferson or Aldo Romano . Eisinger played a. a. with Jean-Luc Ponty and Didier Lockwood , for whom he also composed; He has also appeared with guest musicians in Marseille such as Sonny Stitt , Lee Konitz , Mimi Perrin , Herb Geller , Chet Baker and Art Blakey .

Eisinger and his trio presented the studio album Jazz en Relief on Barclay Records in 1967 ; Live recordings from 1977 and 1979 with Barney Wilen and his Le Jazz Hip Trio appeared on the album Le Jardin Aux Sentiers Qui Bifurquent, Live Inedit Vol. 1 (Jazzoc & Co). For French television he wrote several film scores , including a. for the TV series Madame etes-vous libre (directed by Claude Heymann ) and the TV film L'Araignee (1973, directed by Rémy Grumbach ).
