Jean-Daniel Dave Lewis Akpa-Akpro (also Akpa Akpro ; born October 11, 1992 in Toulouse , France ) is an Ivorian- French football player . The central midfielder and eleven-time Ivorian international is under contract with US Salernitana in Serie B.

family

Akpa-Akpro's older brother Jean-Louis (* 1985) is also a soccer player.

Career

societies

Akpa-Akpro moved to the youth department of Toulouse FC in 2009 . There he moved up to the professional squad for the 2011/12 season . On August 6, 2011, he made his debut in France's top division in a 2-0 win against AC Ajaccio . He scored his first goal on May 18, 2013 in a 2-1 win over FC Sochaux . After the 2016/17 season , his contract was not extended and Akpa-Akpro was without a club for a few months. At the end of February 2018, he joined the Italian second division club US Salernitana .

National team

Akpa-Akpro made his debut on May 31, 2014 in a 2-1 defeat in the friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Ivorian national team . For the 2014 World Cup in Brazil , he was appointed to the squad in his home country , but was not used. For the African Cup of Nations 2015 he was reappointed to the Ivorian squad by coach Hervé Renard . On February 8, 2015, he became African champion with a final win on penalties against Ghana , but was not used in the tournament himself. Akpa-Akpro has not been taken into account since November 2015.
