Jean-David Ciot

Jean-David Ciot (born May 1, 1967 in Rosendaël , now part of Dunkerque ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2012 .

Ciot is the son of an Italian immigrant and a soldier who died in the Vietnam War . He spent his youth in the greater Lyon area and in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade . At this time he joined the socialists, according to his own account inspired by Louis Philibert , who was mayor of Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade. His professional career began in Paris , where he worked as an auditor. From 1998 he was responsible for parliamentary control of finances in parliament. In 2002, he received his first political office when he entered the General Council of the Bouches-du-Rhône department . His election as mayor of Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade followed in 2008. In the 2012 elections , he stood in the 14th constituency of the Bouches-du-Rhône for the Parti socialiste and drew almost 54% of the votes in the second ballot the National Assembly. In July of the same year he became chairman of the socialists in the Bouches-du-Rhône department.
