Jean-François Demandolx

Jean-François Demandolx (also Jean-François de Mandolx ; born October 20, 1744 in Marseille , † August 14, 1817 in Amiens ) was a French Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Amiens .

Life

Demandolx was Vicar General of the Bishop of Marseille , Jean-Baptiste de Belloy . When he was appointed Archbishop of Paris in 1802 , Jean-François Demandolx followed him there.

On October 17, 1802 he was appointed Bishop of La Rochelle and preconized on December 20, 1802 . He was ordained bishop on February 2, 1803 in the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral by the Archbishop of Paris, Cardinal Jean-Baptiste de Belloy; Co - consecrators were Michel-François de Couët du Vivier de Lorry , formerly Bishop of La Rochelle, and Louis Charrier de La Roche , Bishop of Versailles . On December 17, 1804, Jean-François Demandolx was transferred to the episcopal seat of Amiens.

He died after twelve years in office in the episcopate.
