Jean-Louis Ancrenaz

Jean-Louis Ancrenaz (born July 2, 1814 in Bursins , † March 17, 1879 in Lausanne , resident in Bursins) was a Swiss politician .

biography

Ancrenaz studied law at the Geneva Academy from 1833 to 1845 and was licensed in Lausanne in 1847. From 1848 to 1862 he worked as a public prosecutor , was admitted to the bar in the canton of Vaud in 1862 and worked as a lawyer from 1863. From 1866 to 1878 he was a judge at the cantonal court, but had to resign due to health problems. He then became the land registry administrator for the Lausanne district .

From 1862 to 1866 he took a seat in the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud, where he represented liberal principles. Ancrenaz ran successfully in the parliamentary elections in 1857 and was a member of the National Council until 1866 .

In the years 1850 and 1852 to 1861 he was a member of the bank council and from 1855 to 1861 he was a member of the supervisory committee of the Cantonal Bank of Vaud .
