Jean-Louis Kralik
Jean-Louis Kralik (* 1813 in Strasbourg , † 1892 in Tresserve ) was a French botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Kralik ".
Live and act
Kralik was a professor at the University of Strasbourg , then curator of the herbarium of Philip Barker Webb and from 1855 to 1885 of the herbarium of Ernest Saint-Charles Cosson (1819-1889). He also published a catalog of Alphonse Maille's herbarium .
He mainly collected plants in North Africa (Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia).
Honors
The sweet grass genera Kralikia Cosson & Durieu de Maisonneuve and Kralikella Coss. & Durieu were named in his honor.
