Jean-Pierre Barbier

Jean-Pierre Barbier (born November 11, 1960 in Bron ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2012 .

Barbier studied pharmacy in Grenoble and then worked as a pharmacist in La Côte-Saint-André in the Isère department . After working in a pharmacy in Lyon , he opened his own in La Côte-Saint-André in 1993. In 1995 he became mayor of the nearby municipality of Penol . After the founding of the UMP in 2002, Barbier joined the newly founded party. In 2005 he was appointed to the General Council of the Isère department . In the parliamentary elections in 2012 he entered the National Assembly for the seventh constituency of the department.
