Jean-Pierre Davidts

Jean-Pierre Davidts (* 1950 in Liège , Belgium ) is a Canadian children's author, translator and biologist .

Live and act

As a child, Jean-Pierre Davidts loved Belgian cartoons and comics . He emigrated to Canada in 1961, where he still lives in Québec today. In 1973 he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and in 1975 a Master of Arts in Translation from the Collège Mont-Saint-Louis in Montreal . His best known book was published in 1997 with the title Le petit prince retrouve ( The Little Prince Returns ). This is the unofficial sequel to The Little Prince and a tribute to Saint-Exupery . Before that, he had already written ten children's books.

Awards

In 1995 Davidts was awarded the Prix ​​Desjardins in the category "Youth Literature".
