Jean-Pierre Gibrat

Jean-Pierre Gibrat (born April 14, 1954 in Paris ) is a French comic artist and author.

Gibrat studied art and philosophy before turning to drawing comics in the second half of the 1970s . He initially published his drawings in various magazines, including Pilote .

Works (selection)

Volume 1 of Gibrat's two-volume comic novel Der Aufschub (French: Le Sursis ) was nominated for best album at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême in 1998 . In addition, the novel was nominated for the Max and Moritz Prize in 2000 as the best German-language comic book publication (import) . The delay was Gibrat's first comic, for which he also wrote the scenario.
