Jean I de Bourbon, comte de La Marche
Jean I. de Bourbon (* 1344 ; † June 11, 1393 ) was from 1362 to 1393 as Jean I Count of La Marche , from 1372 to 1393 as Jean VII. Count of Vendôme and Castres and Peer of France . He was a son of Jacques' I de Bourbon and his wife Jeanne de Châtillon .
He married Catherine de Vendôme († 1412) in 1364 , who inherited the counties of Vendôme and Castres in 1372 at the latest. He had the following children with her:
- Jacques II (1370–1438), Count of La Marche, Count of Castres
- Louis I (1376–1446), Count of Vendôme
- Jean, lord of Carency

Jean de Bourbon fought in 1356 in the Battle of Maupertuis , in which he was captured. After his release he joined Bertrand du Guesclin , with whom he supported Henry of Trastamara against King Peter the Cruel in Castile in 1366 . In the Vendômois he had the castles Vendôme and Lavardin rebuilt.
