Jean Philippe Peguero (born September 29, 1981 in Port-de-Paix ) is a Haitian football player and national player of the Haitian national football team .

Career

society

Peguero won in 2003 with Don Bosco FC , the Overture to the Haitian championship. In March 2004, he moved to Major League Soccer to play for the Colorado Rapids . He finished his first season with seven goals and four assists in just 18 games. In the second season he scored seven goals and six assists, until he moved to the New York Red Bulls in April 2006 through a swap with Thiago Martins . There he scored six goals in twelve games, as well as two goals in a friendly against Bayern Munich .

In July 2006 he moved to the Danish Superliga to Brøndby IF . On August 5, he also scored his first goal in his first league game to make it 3-0 against AC Horsens . In his third league game on August 20 against Viborg FF , he also scored the 3-0 final score, but injured his cruciate ligament so badly that it was feared he would be out for seven to eight months. This diagnosis even got worse, he played no more games for Brøndby for more than a year.

On April 15, 2008, he returned to Major League Soccer when he was awarded to the San José Earthquakes . However, he was never able to recover properly from the injury, only played three games and ended his professional career after the loan period expired in November 2008.

On April 14, 2011, after two years without playing an official game, he signed with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers from the North American Soccer League . On June 4, he scored the decisive goal against Puerto Rico Islanders FC , which remained his only one. Peguero only played eight league games before he was out the rest of the season due to an injury and then released by the Strikers at the end of the season. Since then he has been back in his home country for Don Bosco FC .

National team

Peguero played for the U-23, where he scored a total of twelve goals in nine games. In July 2003 he made his full international debut against St. Kitts and Nevis . In the national team he played ten games in which he scored nine goals.

In March 2009 he made his comeback in the national team, although he had already retired from professional football for four months. He played the last 16 minutes in the 4-0 loss to Panama when he came on for Ricardo Pierre-Louis . In May 2009 he was still part of the squad for the friendly against Jamaica , but was not used.
