Jean Rolin (writer)
Jean Philippe Rolin (born June 14, 1949 in Boulogne-Billancourt , Hauts-de-Seine department ) is a French writer and journalist .
Life
Jean Rolin became involved as a student after the student unrest in May 1968 , just like his two years older brother Olivier Rolin , in the left, Maoist scene. In the following years he wrote reports for French media such as the daily newspapers Libération and Le Figaro , for L'Évènement du Jeudi and the French magazine Géo .
Rolin is a travel writer, often writing essays, novels and short stories about societies and worlds on the edge of life that are in danger of disappearing.

- 1982: Prix Roger-Nimier for the travel report Journal de Gant aux Aléoutiennes .
- 1988: Albert Londres Prize for Journalism for the travelogue La Ligne du Front
- 1996: Prix Médicis for L'Organisation
