Jean Michaël Seri , short Jean Seri (born July 19, 1991 in Grand-Béréby ), is an Ivorian football player who has been under contract with Fulham FC since July 2018 . In the summer of 2019, Seri was loaned to Galatasaray Istanbul . He is mainly used in the central midfield .
Career
In the club
Jean Seri started his career in 2009 as a youth at Africa Sports National . Then in 2010 moved to the professional team of ASEC Mimosas . In 2012 he left the Ivory Coast for Europe. His first stop was FC Porto , where he played for the B team. In 2013 he moved to the first Portuguese league for FC Paços de Ferreira . Here he completed 54 first division games and scored two goals. In 2015 he moved to the French Ligue A for OGC Nice . After three successful years he left France for the English Premier League , where he signed with the London promoted club Fulham . Seri was loaned to Galatasaray Istanbul for the 2019/20 season. Galatasaray also had a purchase option of 18 million euros, which was valid until June 1, 2020.
National team
Seri was first called up for the Ivory Coast national team on March 5, 2014, but was not used. Seri made his first appearance in the starting line-up on September 6, 2015 in the Africa Cup qualifying game against Sierra Leone . In the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Seri came to two stakes.
