Jeanette Rott-Otte

Jeanette Rott-Otte (born October 31, 1945 in Mutterstadt ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Rott-Otte was a department secretary and member of the works council at Giulini in Ludwigshafen am Rhein . She was chairwoman of the DGB women in Ludwigshafen and later deputy chairwoman in Rhineland-Palatinate . From 2002 to 2008 Rott-Otte was chairwoman of the Rhineland-Palatinate state association of the German Child Protection Association . In 2008 she was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate .

politics

In 1987 Rott-Otte was elected chairwoman of the SPD women in the Palatinate. In the same year she became a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament , to which she was a member until 1994 and again from 1996 to 2001. From 1991 to 1994 she was Minister of State for Equality between Women and Men in Rudolf Scharping's cabinet and then until 1996 State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Youth, Family and Women.
