Jeanie Bryson
Jeanie Bryson (* 10. March 1958 in New York City ) is an American jazz - singer and the only daughter of jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie and songwriter Connie Bryson .
Bryson studied anthropology at Rutgers University . There she met the jazz pianist Kenny Barron , who was a professor at the university and who supported her in the development of her career as a jazz singer.
She toured North and South America, Europe and Asia. She recorded albums with several major jazz musicians and has now released five solo albums.
