Jeanlouis Cornuz

Jeanlouis Cornuz (born February 17, 1922 in Lausanne , † October 14, 2007 in Goumoens-la-Ville ) was a French-speaking Swiss writer and translator .

Life

Jeanlouis Cornuz studied at the Universities of Lausanne and Zurich and did his doctorate on the French historian Jules Michelet . He worked as a teacher, journalist and interpreter at the Nuremberg Trials . From 1994 to 2000 he was a member of the Cantonal Parliament of Vaud (Grand Conseil) for the Parti ouvrier et populaire (POP) .

Cornuz has mainly published novels and essays, in addition to translating works by Ernst Wiechert , Gottfried Keller and Walter Matthias Diggelmann into French. He was one of the founders of the Olten Group .
