Yehuda Sha'ari ( Hebrew יהודה שערי, * February 8, 1920 in Siret , Kingdom of Romania ; † September 18, 1997 in Israel ) was an Israeli politician .

Life

Sha'ari was a member of the Ha-Noar ha-Zioni ( Hebrew הנוער הציוני, lit. the Zionist Youth ). He studied at the Jurij Fedkowytsch University of Chernivtsi . As part of the Aliyah , he immigrated to Palestine in 1941. He continued his studies at the Tel Aviv School of Law and Economics , where he graduated with a law degree. He later earned an MA in Political Science from Tel Aviv University . In 1992 he published his book The Path of Social Liberalism .

politics

As a member of the Libralim Atzma'im he was Minister of Tourism from December 22, 1969 to March 10, 1974 . He was also an Israeli Knesset member of the Miflaga Liberalit Jisra'elit and the Libralim Atzma'im from 1961 to 1977.
