Jelle Hilarius (born October 10, 1988 in Haaksbergen ) is a Dutch volleyball player .

Career

Hilarius began his career in his hometown at Havoc Haaksbergen. He later played for Bovo Aalten . The diagonal attacker was part of the Dutch national youth team and took part in the 2006 European Championship in Kazan with the juniors . In the same year he moved from Aalten to Dynamo Neede . At the same time he trained with the first division club Orion Doetinchem . In the 2007/08 season Hilarius played in the second team of Landstede Zwolle , before moving up to the first division squad a year later. He won the national cup with Zwolle in 2012. In 2013 he became Dutch champions with the team. Then the German Bundesliga club evivo Düren signed the diagonal attacker. In 2014/15 Hilarius first played with the Finnish first division promoted Liiga Särkät and later in Romania with Știința Explorări Baia Mare . From 2015 to 2019 the diagonal attacker was again active in Zwolle at Coníche Topvolleybal. Hilarius has been playing with the Dutch master Orion Doetinchem since 2019 .
