The Jenfelder Bach rises in Hamburg-Jenfeld south of Rodigallee from a canal outflow. Then it flows in a southerly direction and west past the main cemetery Öjendorf . The cemetery ditch flows into it. At the border of Hamburg-Billstedt and Öjendorf it flows into the Schleemer Bach . It is accompanied by walking paths along the lower reaches.

Fishing in the Jenfelder Bach is prohibited all year round, including the Schleemer pond.
