Jennifer Baumgardner
Jennifer Baumgardner (born May 15, 1970 in Fargo , North Dakota) is an American author, filmmaker, and feminist .
Life
Jennifer Baumgardner is the middle of three sisters and grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, USA . She attended Lawrence University in Appleton , Wisconsin, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1992. During her student days, she co-founded the alternative newspaper The Other and helped a feminist group organize an anti-war theater. After graduating, she moved to New York City , where she worked for the feminist magazine Ms.
She is open about her bisexuality . From the 1990s onwards, she had various relationships with women. Today she lives in New York City with her husband Michael and their sons.
Act
Since her departure from ms. in 1998 she published numerous articles on feminism in magazines. She also wrote several books and also worked on film projects. In 2004 she released the film project "I Had an Abortion", in 2008 "It Was Rape".
