Jennifer Martens (born August 26, 1990 in Bremen ) is a German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Martens started her career at Werder Bremen , with whom she was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2009. In the summer of 2014, she moved to the newly promoted Herford SV , but after a year and Herford's immediate relegation, she returned to Werder Bremen, which in turn had made its first promotion to the Bundesliga. On August 30, 2015 Martens made his debut against fellow promoted 1. FC Köln in the women's Bundesliga . After the end of the 2015/16 season, she initially took a career break and moved to VfL Wolfsburg for half a year in January 2017 , where the goalkeepers Almuth Schult , Merle Frohms and Jana Burmeister were simultaneously preparing for the second half of the 2016/17 season canceled due to injuries. At the end of the season, Martens won the double of the German championship and the DFB Cup with the Wolves, without having played in any of the competitions.
