Jennifer Sräga

Jennifer Alexandra Sräga (born March 8, 2000 in Senden ) is a German golfer . She is German master , Bavarian master, Austrian master and runner-up European master of golfers with disabilities.

Life

Sräga grew up in the town of Senden in the Bavarian-Swabian district of Neu-Ulm . She started playing golf at the age of about 8 and was tutored by her parents, who both also play golf. Together with her two years older sister Stefanie, she initially played at the nearby Reischenhof Golf Club near Wain , before moving to Augsburg Golf Club in 2017 , where she played in the higher-class regional league . Now she has come back to the Reischenhof Golf Club.

Jennifer Sräga is 1.30 meters tall and plays with a handicap of −4.4. In 2017 she became German champion of golfers with disabilities . The following year, the German Golf Association nominated her as the only woman to take part in the European Championship for Golfers with Disability on the Portuguese Tróia peninsula . There the then 18-year-old surprisingly became vice European champion and relegated the reigning European champion Mette Lynggaard to third place.

In June 2019, Sräga passed her Abitur examination at the International Colleg of Schule Schloss Salem . In the same month, she reached 6th place with the German team at the European Team Championships for golfers with disabilities in the Spanish golf club Novo Sancti Petri . In September 2019, Sräga was invited by EDGA to the Celebrity Cup , which was held in Gleaneagles , Scotland , as part of this year's Solheim Cup .

  • 2017: 7th place European team championships for golfers with disabilities in Quinta do Lago, Portugal
  • 2018: 2nd place European Championships for Golfers with Disability
  • 2018: 1st place 2nd IAM Germany (category "Other with restrictions - gross HCP - Pro to")
  • 2018: 1st place (women) International Bavarian Championship
  • 2019: 6th place European team championships for golfers with disabilities at the Real Novo Sancti Petri golf club , Spain
  • 2019: German champion at the International German Championship in the GC Baden Hills and second place in the international ranking
  • 2019: International Bavarian Champion at the International Bavarian Championship at GC Abenberg
  • 2019: Austrian champion at the Austrian Disabled Open at GC Stark Ansfelden
