Jennifer Wygant (born February 10, 1984 in Burnsville ) is an American cross-country skier and biathlete .

Jennifer Wygant studied at Northern Michigan University until 2007 and then worked as a nurse in the US Army . She is now an officer and member of the Army World Class Athlete Program in Lake Placid . Wygant started out as a cross-country skier and started here for Northern Michigan University . In 2003 she competed in her first international race, since 2004 she has competed regularly in national championships, in the Continental and FarAm Cups, but never achieved top ten placements.

Wygant has been running biathlon since the end of 2007. In the same season she made her debut in the NorAm Cup . She achieved her breakthrough at the beginning of the following season . In the first race of the season at Canmore , she was only beaten by Jessica Sedlock . Another four times she reached podium placements, her first victory achieved Wygant in a pursuit race in La Patrie . At the end of the season Wygant only had to admit defeat to BethAnn Chamberlain in the overall standings.
