Jenny Josefina Hjohlman (born February 13, 1990 in Viksjöfors ) is a Swedish football player . The striker made her debut in 2013 for the Swedish national team , with whom she took part in the European Championship finals in her home country that same year .

Career

Hjohlman learned to play football at Viksjöfors IF , in 2004 she moved to Edsbyns IF . In 2007 she joined Sundsvalls DFF , where she made her debut in the second division of the adult division. At the same time, she went through the various youth national teams of Svenska Fotbollförbundet , where she was vice European champion at the U-19 European Championship in 2009 alongside players such as Antonia Göransson , Olivia Schough , Sofia Jakobsson and Emilia Appelqvist . In the 2-0 defeat in the final against England, she was substituted on for Jennifer Egelryd at halftime .

In 2012, Hjohlman, who had so far scored 39 goals in the second division in her five years, moved to Damallsvenskan at Umeå IK . There she established herself directly as a regular player under coach Joakim Blomqvist and was in the starting line-up in all 22 games of the season in the 2012 season. At the beginning of June 2013, the club extended her contract prematurely until the end of 2015. At the end of June she nominated national coach Pia Sundhage , who she had already tested in training for an international match against Norway earlier this month , for the European Championship finals and praised her eye for goals during the presentation of the squad . In the 4-1 win over England in the last preparatory game on July 4th, she made her debut as a substitute for two-time goalscorer Lotta Schelin a quarter of an hour before the final whistle in the national team. In the finals, however, she only made a brief appearance in the game against Finland (5-0). In May 2015 she was nominated for the 2015 World Cup. At the World Cup, she was substituted for a defender for the first time in the 80th minute of the round of 16 against Germany immediately after the 3-0 defender. Sweden was able to shorten it to 1: 3 through Linda Sembrant , but then lost with 1: 4, which meant that the World Cup ended prematurely for Sweden.
