Jennifer Marie Ruiz-Williams (born August 9, 1983 in Anaheim , California ) is a Mexican - American soccer player who was last under contract in the 2013 season with Seattle Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League .

Career

While studying at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas , Ruiz played semi-professionally for her college's soccer team, the UNLV Rebels . She initially did not pursue a career as a professional soccer player at club level.

From 2011 to 2012 Ruiz played for Bay Area Breeze in the second-rate WPSL . In early 2013 it was in the so-called NWSL player allocation of the franchise granted the Seattle Reign FC. Ruiz made her league debut on April 14, 2013 against the Chicago Red Stars .

International

Ruiz made his debut on January 26, 2003 when playing against Sweden in the "Australia Cup - Women Tournament" for the senior team of Mexico . After a seven-year hiatus, she completed international matches for Mexico for the first time in 2011, took part in the Pan American Games in 2011 and won the bronze medal there with her team. She is also part of the Mexican squad for the 2015 World Cup in Canada and, at almost 32 years of age, is the oldest player in the squad.

Ruiz is the mother of two children.
