Jens Kassner

Jens Kassner (born May 30, 1961 ) is a German publicist , author and blogger .

Life

After completing his vocational training as an agricultural engineer with a high school diploma in Dresden and the subsequent military service , Jens Kassner studied philosophy at the University of Leipzig from 1983 to 1988 . In 1992 he received his doctorate externally as an art historian with Thomas Topfstedt in Leipzig . Kassner has been publishing monographs and works on the cultural and architectural history of the industrial age in Saxony since 1990.

Kassner publishes current articles on culture, art and media history on his weblog "Jens-Kassner.de". He is the author for the Leipziger Volkszeitung as well as for Friday .

Jens Kassner lives and works in Leipzig.
