Jens Kunze

Jens Kunze (* 1967 in Freital ) is a German historian . His research focus is the Saxon regional studies in the late Middle Ages and in the early modern period, in particular the history of the Saxon nobility and manors.

Life

Jens Kunze comes from Freital in Saxony and grew up in the town of Tharandt . In 2004/05 he did his doctorate at the University of Leipzig with the dissertation Das Amt Leisnig in the 15th century. Among other things, he worked as an employee at the universities in Leipzig and Marburg and at the research center for personal fonts in Marburg as well as at the central office for genealogy in the Saxon State Archives in Leipzig and lives in Wermsdorf .

He is the 3rd chairman of the Wermsdorf home association.
