Jerónimo Remorino

Jerónimo Remorino (* 1902 in Buenos Aires ; † November 20, 1968 ibid) was an Argentine lawyer , politician and diplomat . From June 1951 to August 1955 he was Argentine Foreign Minister in the government of Juan Perón .

Life

Remorino studied law and politics at the University of Cordoba . From 1936 to 1948 he was deputy director of the legal journal "La Ley" (The Law) and then until 1948 director of the "Annals of Argentine Legislation" (Anales de legislación argentina). Before being appointed Ambassador of Argentina to the United States Government in 1948, he worked for a year as a director at the Central Bank of Argentina. In July 1951, President Juan Perón appointed him Foreign Minister of the country. Since there were differences with Peron over economic policy, he resigned from his office in mid-1955.
