Jerdos Schaksimbinowitsch Akhmadiyev ( Russian Ердос Жаксимбинович Ахмадиев ; English Yerdos Akhmadiyev ; born March 6, 1985 in Ürschar , Semipalatinsk Oblast , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Kazakh cross-country skier .

Career

Achmadijew ran his first World Cup race in December 2010 in La Clusaz , which he finished with 65th place in the 30 km mass start race. His best placement at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo was 48th place in the 30 km skiathlon . He finished the Tour de Ski 2011/12 and 2012/13 in 53rd and 59th place overall. In December 2012 he got his first and so far only World Cup points in Canmore with the 25th place in the 30 km skiathlon. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 47th in the 30 km skiathlon and 45th in the 50 km mass start race. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he reached 54th place over 15 km classic and 48th place in 50 km mass start race. In February 2015, at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, he took 45th place in the 50 km mass start race and 41st place in the skiathlon. In the 2015/16 season he finished 72nd in the World Cup Mini Tour in Ruka and in the following year in the Lillehammer 71st place. At the Winter Asian Games 2017 in Sapporo , he won the silver medal with the relay.
