Jérémie Elkaïm (born August 29, 1978 in Paris ) is a French actor and screenwriter .

Life

He made his acting debut in the 1998's and by François Ozon staged Short Scènes de lit alongside François Delaive and Camille Japy . In the same year he made his debut as a screenwriter. He co-wrote the short film Un léger différent, directed by Olivier Séror . He was then able to establish himself as an actor with films such as Summer and Winter , Everything Because of Benjamin and Police . For his work on the script for the cancer drama Life Belongs to Us , he received a nomination for the best original screenplay at the César French film award.

Elkaïm was in a relationship with his colleague Valérie Donzelli and has two children with her. With Donzelli he wrote the scripts for their joint films La rein de pommes, Main dans la Main, Marguerite et Julien and Life belongs to us . The latter focuses on their son's cancer. Elkaïms third child was born in the spring of 2016, mother is his partner from Marguerite et Julien, Anaïs Demoustier .
