Anaïs Demoustier (born September 29, 1987 in Lille ) is a French actress.

Life

Anaïs Demoustier was discovered in 2003 by Michael Haneke for his film Wolfzeit . After filming, she finally decided to become an actress and took acting classes in Lille and New York . Her next feature film role was in Raphaël Jacoulot's film Barrage in 2006 . Her greatest successes to date were with the films The Beautiful Girl (2008) by Christophe Honoré and We are all grown up (2008) by Anne Novion . She was nominated for a César in the category Best Young Actress for her leading role in We Are All Grown . At the Berlin International Film Festival in 2010 she was awarded the European Shooting Star . For the female lead in Isabelle Czajka's drama D'amour et d'eau fraîche (2010), she received another César nomination for best young actress in 2011. In the same year she won the Romy Schneider Prize for her performance in Belle Epine . For her portrayal in Alice et le maire , she finally received the César for Best Actress in 2020.
