Jeremy Spenser

Jeremy Spenser (* 18 July 1937 in London as Jeremy John Dorn Hurst de Seram ) is a former British actor.

Life

Jeremy Spenser made his film debut in 1948 in the Tolstoy -Literaturverfilmung Anna Karenina on the side of Vivien Leigh . The following year he played the role of the future serial killer Louis Mazzini as a child in the black comedy Adel committed . In the 1950s, Spenser was considered a promising young actor in British cinema. Among other things, he played the youthful King Nicolas in The Prince and the Dancer (1957) alongside Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe and a sympathetic officer in Ferry to Hong Kong (1959) alongside Curd Jürgens and Orson Welles .

In the 1960s, the role offers for Jeremy Spenser slowly decreased. Spenser took his last film role in 1966 as "Man with the Apple" in Fahrenheit 451 , directed by François Truffaut . A little later, Spenser retired from acting. Almost nothing is known about his later life. In the Guardian obituary for his older brother David Spenser , who was also an actor and died in 2013, Jeremy Spenser is mentioned as a living relative.
