Jeroen Tesselaar (born January 16, 1989 in Wognum ) is a Dutch football player .

Career

Jeroen Tesselaar began his professional career at AZ Alkmaar . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he received his first professional contract with the club from the province of North Holland . At the end of the season AZ won the championship, but Tesselaar was not used for the entire season under Louis van Gaal . From 2009 to 2010 the defender was loaned to SC Telstar in the Eerste Divisie . In the following season he came back to the Velsen second division team with the AZ players Kevin Brands and Furdjel Narsingh . After two years on loan there, he moved to FC St. Mirren in Scotland in the summer of 2011 . He initially signed for a year with the Premier League club from Paisley . He made his debut there in the first game of the season 2011/12 in the away game at Dunfermline Athletic . At the beginning of the following season , Tesselaar moved to the reigning cup winners FC Kilmarnock . In 2014 Tesselaar moved back to St. Mirren for one season before signing a contract in his home country in the Netherlands with first division promoter BV De Graafschap in August 2015 .
