Jerry Miculek (pronounced / ˈmɪtʃəlɛk / "Mitscheleck") is a marksman , shooting instructor and gunsmith .

Career

Miculek is the reigning world record holder in show shooting. He is married to Kay Clark Miculek, who is also a nationally and internationally recognized shooter.

In addition, Miculek is an experienced gunsmith , so that he can convert his revolver to the optimum.

He is an advertising medium for Smith & Wesson , which named the 625 JM after him in his honor .

Miculek holds a variety of national and international titles:

  • five-time USPSA 3-Gun National Championship champion
  • four times 2nd chance bowling pin champion
  • 1997 American Handgunner World Shoot-Off Champion (the only one to date with a revolver)
  • fourteen times International Revolver Champion
  • Member of the five-time winning Sportsmans Team Challenge
  • three times Masters International Long Gun Champion
  • three times USPSA National Revolver Champion
  • twice IPSC World Revolver Champion
  • twice IDPA Enhanced Service Revolver Champion

Miculek also demonstrated on September 25, 2003 the ability to fire five rounds from a S&W Model 64 Compensator Revolver in 0.57 seconds. This is close to the record set by Ed McGivern of 0.45 seconds on September 13, 1932 and December 8, 1932 .
