The Jerusalemberg is 127  m above sea level. NHN the highest point in the district of Jerichower Land in Saxony-Anhalt .

Location and surroundings

The mountain is located in the southern part of the Altengrabow military training area and nine kilometers northeast of the village of Loburg in the Möckern unitary community , on whose boundary this part of the Bundeswehr training area is located.

Its flat mountain top is not forested, mostly covered with large dwarf shrub heaths and the entire area is part of the 3742 hectare Altengrabower Heide bird sanctuary , which includes almost the entire military training area.

The height lies on the watershed line running east-west between the Havel in the north and the Elbe in the south. In terms of natural space, the Jerusalemberg belongs to the western Fläming plateau , a 421 km² and the westernmost main unit of the superordinate main unit group of the Fläming .
