Jerzy Albrecht Denhoff ( April 7, 1640 , † 1702 ) was Bishop of Krakow .

Life

Prince Jerzy Albrecht Denhoff came from the Dönhoff family and was a son of Prince Zygmunt Ernest Denhoff († 1655) and Princess Anna Teresa Ossolińska .

In 1685 Jerzy Albrecht became Bishop of Kamieniec and in 1687 personal chancellor of the Polish Queen Maria Kazimiera Sobieska . In 1690 he received the Przemyśl episcopate . In 1688 he was appointed Chancellor of the Polish Crown. After August the Strong became King of Poland, Jerzy Albrecht Denhoff received the episcopal dignity of Krakow. He died a year later and was buried in his family's grave chapel in Jasna Góra .
