List of the bishops of Krakow

St. Stanislaus, patron saint of the diocese of Krakow and patron saint of Poland, was Bishop of Krakow in the 11th century

The diocese of Krakow may have been founded from Prague in the 10th century . There are no written sources for the first few years, except for a list of the first bishops. In the year 1000 the diocese of Krakow was subordinated to the new Archdiocese of Gniezno .

From 1443 to 1791 the bishops of Kraków were also dukes of Siewierz , the title of Duke of Siewierz was held until 1951.

With the elevation of Krakow to the archbishopric in 1925, Bishop Adam Stefan Sapieha received the title of archbishop .
