Jesús Tordesillas
Jesús Tordesillas (born January 29, 1893 in Madrid , † March 24, 1973 ibid) was a Spanish actor .
Life
After graduating from high school, Tordesillas began training at a bank, but then turned to acting , encouraged by the brothers Joaquín and Serafín Álvarez Quintero . In various ensembles, he initially played mainly in the works of his discoverers. In the cinema Tordesillas debuted in 1921 in de Flor España , but his breakthrough came only in the 1940s when he became one of the most important character actor developed the numerous films with distinctive interpretations of older men of grandees to gravediggers in melodramas as in period films his Stamp imprinted. In the mid-1950s he founded a theater company with Manuel Luna , in which he remained active until his death, albeit later in smaller parts.
His awards include twice that of the Sindicato Nacional del Espectáculo and six times that of the Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos .
