Zorro - the secret of Alamos (original title: La venganza del Zorro ) is a Spanish-French adventure film that makes use of the Zorro character. The film, made in 1962, was continued with Zorro, the black avenger and was premiered in German-speaking countries on October 5, 1962.

The legendary masked freedom fighter Zorro killed a criminal in the fight between the Mexican revolutionaries and the American army and then withdrew from his role. Now he lives as a wealthy Don José de la Torre in a small town in California. When Billy, the dead man's brother, and a group of bandits set out to take revenge on Zorro, they equip one of their people with his costume and mask, in which he wreaked havoc and terrorized the area. Don José's best friend dies in a robbery, his bride is kidnapped - then the real Zorro becomes active again, fights the bandits and washes his name back in.
