Jesper Parnevik (born March 7, 1965 in Danderyd, Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional golfer .

Career

In 1986 Parnevik switched to professional life and from 1989 played on the European Tour , of which he was a member until 1995. Then he switched to the North American PGA TOUR . He won his first tournament there in 1998 at the Phoenix Open .

So far, Parnevik has won four tournaments on the European Tour and five on the PGA Tour. In the Ryder Cup Parnevik played in three consecutive matches from 1997 to 2002 in the twice successful European team. For Sweden he played twice in the World Cup and four times in the now defunct Dunhill Cup . He has been on the Champions Tour since 2015 .

In addition to his successes, Parnevik became famous on the PGA Tour primarily for his open sun shield, the tea that is always wedged behind the ear , and the striking 70s / 80s clothing. Away from the gulf, he drew attention to himself with weird activities such as a stream water bath and volcanic sand diet. He is also known for his generous lifestyle, which he shares with his friends.
