Jessica Matzig (* 1992 in Walenstadt ) is a Swiss actress , author , acting coach and psychologist .

Live and act

After graduating from the Sargans canton school , Matzig studied psychology, educational science and high school education at the University of Zurich . This was followed by an external master's thesis at ETH Zurich and an internship in a supervised dormitory for children and young people in exceptional situations.

Even before graduating from high school, Matzig was discovered by the Theater Karussell in Liechtenstein, whereupon she appeared in Ingrid Lausund's Hysterikon under the direction of Brigitte Walk . This first major production immediately led to an engagement at the Vorarlberger Volkstheater in Götzis (AT). There she was seen in "Süsser die Glocken ..." alongside Klaus Schöch and in the world premiere of Stefan Vögel's hit comedy "Achtung Deutsch" (Achtung Ländle) in over 60 performances as the French "Virginie".

During her engagement at the theater she was cast in a leading role in the movie "Himmelfahrtskommando" by the Swiss director Dennis Ledergerber alongside Walter Andreas Müller , Andrea Zogg and Beat Schlatter .

With the aim of concentrating more on acting in the future, as well as teaching acting, directing and writing, Jessica moved to London after completing her Masters in Clinical Psychology to study acting there.
